The Mister Africa International was launched in 2012 at the Africa center , Covent Garden London in celebration of the black history month with Adonis O’ Holi of Sierra Leone wining the event.
It’s been held annually since then , taking a break in 2020 during the COVID pandemic.
The main purpose of the event is to celebrate African excellence in Men in various aspects of life, such as Health, Arts, Business and Culture.
Past winners have benefitted in being recognized nationally and internationally, influential in their respective communities, including promoting education of young Africans in rural areas around Africa.
The winners have worked on different projects including building a school in South Sudan, scholarship to disabled kids in eastern Nigeria amongst others.
